High Voltage (HV) Switching training refers to the practice of teaching Electrical Workers the theoretical and practical components of developing and operating switching programs.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will gain a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment in the below units whilst gaining the required skills and knowledge in the following:

- Control permit to work operations

Electrical Students
Students who meet the prerequisite units are eligible to gain a Statement of Attainment with 9 units of competency from the UET12 Transmission Package and UEP12 Generation package.
- UEP – Electricity Supply Industry Generation Sector Training Package
- UET12 Transmission, Distribution and Rail Sector Training Package
Non-Electrical Students
All other students will gain a Statement of Attainment with 4 units of competency from the UEP12 Generation Package only.
When to refresh HV Switching training
Industry expectations require students to refresh HV switching training every 2-3 years, depending on site requirements.
