Operate Local L.V. Switchgear

Course Description:

This course involves the skills and knowledge required to undertake the local operation of Low Voltage (L.V.) switchgear. The ability to plan and prepare L.V. secondary switchgear, operating switchgear and validating, testing, and reporting on L.V. switchgear integrity.

Designed for individuals who will, in general, work under supervision, in a power generation facility as an operator.

Online self-paced delivery.

Course Accreditation:

This is a Nationally Recognised outcome with successful students receiving a Statement of Attainment.

Delivery:

Students will work in an online self-paced environment.

Entry requirements:

This course has no technical pre-requisite requirements – however Volt Edge requires students to hold an Electrical Licence or UEENEEG104A – Install appliances, switchgear and associated accessories for low voltage electrical installations or UEEEL0012 – Install low voltage wiring, appliances, switchgear and associated accessories or equivalent.

Online self-paced will also require you to have a workplace supervisor holding the equivalent unit of competency to act as a supervisor during your practical.

If you do not meet the above requirements, you are not eligible to undertake our course.
