Overview:
Our comprehensive Electrical Safety Training Course/LV Switching and Testing AS3017 LVR CPR is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to work safely with electrical systems. This course covers critical topics such as safe approach techniques, arc flash assessment, low voltage switching, and mandatory testing in compliance with AS/NZS standards.
Course Content:
Safe Approach: Ensure knowledge of and learn the principles and best practices for maintaining safety when working near or with electrical systems. Understand the importance of safe distances and protective equipment.
Arc Flash Assessment: Gain insights into the process of evaluating arc flash risks and implementing necessary safety measures to protect against electrical faults.
LV Switching: Hands-on training in low voltage switching, including the operation of switches and circuit breakers in systems below 1000 volts.
Mandatory Testing to AS/NZS 3000 Section 8 – AS/NZS 3017: Understand the testing requirements and procedures to ensure compliance with Australian/New Zealand Wiring Rules and testing standards.
LVR (Low Voltage Rescue): Practical training on low voltage rescue techniques, including the use of rescue equipment and safe rescue procedures.
CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation): Certification in CPR, with hands-on practice in chest compressions and rescue breaths to respond effectively in emergencies.

Delivery:
Theory is completed online self paced prior to attending the practical in our Northgate Brisbane Training Centre.
Approximately 1 day – Students attend Northgate Training Centre to undertake Practical Training and Assessment tasks.
