High Voltage Switching (Live Web-based)

Course Description

The High Voltage Switching Operate, Develop & Perform course is designed for students who require formal training to write switching sheets and perform switching operations.

This course delivers in-depth training on how to safely perform duties of a High Voltage Switching Operator. This course is a Nationally Recognised which has been written to meet the requirements of the latest training packages; UEP – Electricity Supply Industry – Generation Sector Training Package and UET – Transmission, Distribution and Rail Sector Training Package.

The course is suitable for Electrical workers, technicians and engineers involved with maintaining high voltage electrical equipment. We cover the legislation, theory and practical aspect of high voltage installations and maintenance.Volt Edge students who meet the pre-requisites are eligible to gain a Statement of Attainment with competencies from the UET Transmission Package and UEP Generation package as listed on the next page. All other students will gain a Statement of Attainment from the UEP Generation Package only.

Content Delivery

Online via live web. Full interaction with the trainer from your own location.

*Our Course is now available via LIVE WEB Training – interact with your trainer and assessor live as if you were in the classroom. Trainer will work through your theory, show you videos and be available whilst you complete your written assessments. Then you will complete your practical by writing your switching sheet and Switch on a SCADA Schematic.

• Computer or laptop
• Steady internet connection
• Speaker
• Microphone
• Webcam
• Microsoft Word
• Use 2 monitors when attending live web courses. 2 monitors are recommended to ensure your access and view to the course material is streamlined, and your interaction throughout the course is optimal.

~ Face to Face training is available in Brisbane, Mackay, Sydney, Melbourne and Onsite – our HV Trailer is available for hire for onsite training ~

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will have the skills to:
→ Operate and perform local H.V. switching.
→ Develop H.V. switching programs.
→ Control permit to work operations.
